Kurt's brother Scott is proficient in all of the skills one would expect of a diplomat of his caliber including linguistics, history, fantasy sports, and lead vocals of which he displays his talents in the embassy cover band ``Castro's Beard.`` His main interest in his job, however, is the jet-setting lifestyle it affords with his wife Christine, and two glorious children, Conall Richard and Devlin Daniel. Scott's only true skill outside of diplomacy, is Ultimate Frisbee. He is fond of drinking, ``tactical`` turtlenecks, making obscure pop culture references, and has a penchant for Star Wars trivia and Burt Reynolds.
Just like how she pampers her chihuahua Coco, Ena knows how to pamper herself with her bi-weekly massages. With a sharp eye for fashion, Ena has been relentless in her career, working with a wide array of styles from Jeans to cotton wear. Ena was given the nickname ``Winter`` because she can be firm and cold when she attempts to get what she wants, which she usually does!
An American born Chinese kid by way of the big Apple and Beijing, China, Pat was dropped into Southern California to attend USC and study business which is where he first met Kurt. Together at USC they spent most of their time hard at their studies learning the many classical disciplines that would properly prepare them for their professional careers. In their free time they became brothers of Beta Omega Phi. Pat loves all things sports especially golf. He hates to drink but we'll try to get him to have a toast on the big day anyway.
Zen's bathroom buddy since her high school party days. Together they learned how to ride bikes in their later years in life. A true Philanthropist, Melody spends many weekends working for her Junior League or volunteering with kids. With a love for fine foods, Melody takes her palate to the oven where she's mastered baking numerous desserts. Zen enjoys the outdoors with Melody when they get together for their hikes.
As one of Kurt's oldest friends, Kurt and Corey's story began at Sunday School in the fourth grade at Temple Beth Ohr. There they joined BOTY, the Beth Ohr Temple Youth group and after that, NOC AZA, of the b'nai b'rith youth organization. As a fellow Cerritos native, Corey attended Whitney High School graduating with Kurt in 1998. At Whitney Kurt and Corey did pretty much everything together; Soccer, Music, terrorizing the highways of South Orange County and the trashcans of Shadow Park. After Whitney Corey made his way to Cal Poly San Luis Obisbo to obtain a degree in Recreation, Parks & Tourism. After college, Corey returned to the Cerritos area to marry his wife Kerran, have two boys, Ethan and Caleb, and make his home just a mile from Kurt's in Lakewood, California. Another avid sports fan, Corey loves the the Angels and runs the parks division for the City of Los Alamitos.
An early riser, this maid of honor does not let time slip by as she runs half marathons and attempts obstacle course challenges. One of Zen's favorite memories with her is hiking the Half Dome in Yosemite, which took them over 10 hours to complete. Alice lives in Orange with her fiancee, Natasha and their adorable dogs Gizmo and Watson. They are currently planning their wedding in Oregon.
If not for Brad, Kurt would most likely never have met his wife to be. As high school friends with Zen and her fellow San Marino girls, Brad made the introduction more than 10 years ago while living with Kurt in West LA.
There isn't much that Kurt and Brad don't have in common. Computers, cars, a passion for web development and music, a good drink and good company whenever the opportunity affords it. Brad is a fellow Trojan and Beta, and he is married to his wife Annie for whom Kurt had the honor of serving in their wedding party last March.
Former colleagues at Sweda, Edith and Zen met during their first days on the job , and their friendship immediately burgeoned. Together they've supported each other through numerous life and relationship challenges, and together they've rampaged through countless Vegas trips. It would be no surprise for Zen to sleep over Edith's house and lounge in bed all day in Edith's Hello Kitty pants.
